Larimer Music would like to welcome our newest student, Sophia, to our musical family. Sophia attends Frank Hammond Elementary here in Munster. She will be learning to play the piano. We are so happy to have Sophia working with us. Welcome!
Here are a couple more changes to our School Year Lesson Schedule. Please review and let us know if you have any questions. Again, we have a few open spots. If you get someone to sign up for a month of lessons, you get a free lesson! Ask for our business cards for your friends!
Larimer Music would like to issue a warm welcome to our newest vocal student, Alexis. We are happy to have you join our musical family and look forward to helping you fulfill your musical goals!
Posted below is our tentative lessons schedule for summer which will begin the week of June 3. As you will see from the schedule, most students have stayed in their school year day/time slots. This doesn’t mean, however, that you or your student cannot change days/times for the summer. Also please note that a few students are not listed. We would like to have more time on Thursdays for long camping weekends which means not having lessons past 6 on Thursdays. If you do not see your or your students’ name on the schedule, please discuss with us a day/time based on our open slots for the summer. Thank you!
To all of our students’ moms and to the couple of students who are moms–Happy Mother’s Day! We appreciate all you so much.
Several of our students performed recently. Two of our young pianists, 8 year old Iris and 8 year old Riley, played piano solos in their elementary school talent shows. They both did a great job. Below is Iris’ performance:
Our student, Brent, 12 years old, recently competed in a Fine Arts Festival in Lafayette, Indiana. Brent has been working on playing and singing at the same time which is always difficult, but so essential for a singer/pianist! He has been playing and singing at the same time practically since he began lessons. He is getting better everyday. Way to work Brent! Here is his performance:
We want to issue a warm welcome to our newest piano student–Jane. Jane is an adult student who has always wanted to play piano. She will be joining our musical family next week. Welcome Jane!
We now have one lesson opening on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. While that time may be too early for some school aged students, it may work perfectly for a college student, adult, or home schooled student. If interested in this opening for either vocal or piano lessons, please contact us.
The weather has finally broken. We will be open for all regular lessons beginning Monday, February 4. If our current student/parents are talking us up–thank you! We currently have no openings. We posted a reminder of our cancellation policy last week, and all current students have a signed contract agreeing to the cancellation policy. With a waiting list, it is more important than ever that you take your lesson seriously and attend regularly.
In that same vein, since we have so many piano students under the age of 10 currently, we need more openings for lessons at earlier times. If you are an adult, in high school, or home schooled and currently have a lesson earlier than 6 pm, and would be willing to consider a different time slot, please let us know.
We want to wish our students who are participating in ISSMA tomorrow good luck. We also hope that everyone stayed safe and warm. Keep recommending us to friends, neighbors and family–encourage them to email us at email@example.com and join our waiting list. Thank you all for your cooperation and support.
Due to the extreme cold tomorrow, all lessons will be officially cancelled with no charge to students. However, if you or your child is performing Saturday at ISSMA, and a lesson is vital and an original is necessary, please contact us individually. If you don’t mind braving the cold tomorrow, we may be able to fit one in during the daylight since there’s no school. We may also have openings on Thursday and may consider opening up on Friday just for this week. Stay warm and safe!
